Classical Music Mashup II

Almost exactly a year ago, Grant Woolard gave us a fine mashup of classical music by the world's greatest composers. It's still a treat to listen to! Now he's back with volume two. This one features a blend of 52 familiar classics by such diverse names as Mozart, John Philip Souza, Bizet, Tchaikovsky, Liszt, and Scott Joplin. They go together quite well. (via Digg)

The first one was a little better, I think, but that's just my own personal opinion; you may take that for what it's worth.

However, back in the 1960s, I took several years of piano lessons. One of my instructors partnered me up with another, similarly young performer for recitals and we performed a series of two piano/four hands duets ... some of which called for, well, a little more expertise than you normally found in your average 5th or 6th grade student. Not to put too fine a point on it, we were fairly good (for 12 or 13-year-olds).

But had either of these mashups been created back then you can bet your bottom dollar that I would have been on my knees BEGGING our instructor to find an arrangement and let us work on it for a recital. The audience would have loved it!!
